  1. Kate says:

I like made in the USA products because I think the quality is often higher than with products from, say, China. I also want to support American jobs in this economy. I’d love a Worm Factory!!!

  2. shauron w says:

I like how the products are made. Very unique and looks like it quality

  3. Matt says:

American made products = American jobs. An important part of creating a sustainable world is creating a sustainable local economy, and importing all of our consumer goods from other countries is not very sustainable.

  4. Christina cox says:

I love things made in the USA because you know the people working were paid a fair wage and no abuse occurred in the work place.

  5. LDH says:

I’m a big fan of supporting small, independent businesses. Adding “Made in the USA” just brings those benefits closer to home. Literally.

  6. Paula Jones says:

I love “American Made” because I believe we need to move from a globalized investor economy to more sustainable local living economies. I would love to win a Worm Factory! Thank you for offering the contest. Happy Independence Day everybody!!!

  7. I love American made products because it means we are helping people keep their jobs, get paid a fair wage, you don’t have to worry about bad things getting into your products. I also have a small business and I know how it feels to lose customers to other countries because they use children, over worked/under payed adults and poor quality supplies so they can charge less. Go USA!

  8. Heather says:

I love Made in the USA products for a variety of reasons: the quality is better, it creates jobs which builds a strong economy, and since shorter shipping routes means less energy used, it helps our environment as well.

  9. Matthew Anderson says:

I have confidence in American-made products, as for the most part, the folks manufacturing those products stand behind them as a matter of pride. There is a quiet satisfaction when you have made something yourself.

  10. Andrew Oswari says:

Support our own. Support your local farmers. The quality and the people are worth it!!

  11. Rebecca Branham says:

Made in USA = USA jobs. And you use re-cycled plastic! What’s not to like about that? I’d love a companion product for my WF—thank you for the offer.

  12. I love the Worm Factory products because they are consistent with my personal philosophy. I support American made products, but there are many American made products that are not consistent with my values. These are recycled products with a much lower carbon footprint than knock-off products that are manufactured overseas. Jobs for American men and women, recycled plastic, lower carbon transportation footprint, quality product, wonderful ecologically sound vermiculture….these make for a great combination.

  13. As a soldier with over 17yrs service to the defense of our fine Nation anytime and every time I can buy a Made in the USA product I do because I still feel that our quality is second to none! We set the standard for the world to follow in dedication to the highest service and because it keeps Americans employed!

  14. Steven Snaer says:

Made in the USA says it all. Quality, ingenuity, environmental soundness, and a sound dollar make for the most desirable footprint. Recycle for the planet, buy American for Americans.

  15. Adam says:

I like made in the USA because it’s much easier to get customer support than talking to an Indian that I can’t even understand. The quality is usually better and it is nice to keep our money in the country.

  16. Madeleine Nist says:

The first hammer I ever bought had a little sticker on it that said, “Proud to Say Made in the USA.” and you know what? That was (mumble) years ago. I still have that hammer because it has held up through many jobs over the years. That makes me think that the pride mentioned on that little sticker was talking about the quality of the products that are sold in this country. I make a point of buying Made in the USA products because of their quality and also because buying things from home helps create jobs and help our economy. I call that a win-win-win situation.

  17. Gary Aguiar says:

Buying locally strengthens our communities. Supporting local shops helps promote the work of local craftsmen, small business owners and the future of manufacturing in America.

  18. Matt says:

Made in the USA inspires confidence.

  19. America means business, keep the money right here in the USA. If all of our products are made overseas our jobs will be there too, hence we couldn’t afford to buy them. As the owner of ecoVerve an American company selling mostly American products for the eco-savvy, I feel business should be with a handshake and my arms are not long enough to go over seas.

  20. Paula Kintzel says:

I like to buy American. The quality is usually better. And I think all Americans need to do our part to ensure jobs here rather than China. Sometimes it is hard to find American products, and it might be more expensive, but it’s worth it just to buy American!!I
I would love a worm farm.

  21. Frank says:

I support things made in the USA because it supports skilled American workers, and it keeps industry in the USA. Products made in the USA usually are higher quality and last longer, which is a better return on your investment because you only have to buy one product. For instance, it does not break one week after you take it out of the package as the case with some products with no refund, no return. Also, if we outsource all of our industry out of the country we will be and now are dependent on other nations to meet our needs. Before the USA moved into the service factor we had more industry we were a lot more prosperous. The workers in the USA are not slave labor, but we have to meet at least a minimum wage and pay overtime, and give them breaks after 4 hours of work. We also have set up OSHA safety procedures to look out for the welfare of the workers. Furthermore, we reduce global pollution because our industry has environmental standards, and we do not have to transport the product across the globe.

  22. Laura says:

American made products are known to be high quality and support our local economy. It might cost a little more but at least you know what you’re getting.

  23. Mike says:

Because they usually use better quality materials, they require less fuel to transport, and they keep the economy growing.

  24. Yunus says:

Buying American-made products highlights a determination to keep neighbors employed, dollars spent locally, and environmental consequences at a minimum.

  25. Michael says:

The US has done all the heavy lifting in innovation and technology development that the rest of the world now exploits with ease. What can I do as a consumer as jobs and industry are shipped abroad? I can proudly support our new breed of local innovators in the Green Revolution by buying MADE IN AMERICA. Together we will grow this new industry rooted right here in America.

  26. Gary Whitaker says:

Keep jobs here. Keep the money here. And by here I do mean the United States of America. The quality will be better.

  27. Wendy says:

I love Made in the USA products because of what it stands for to me and you on a personal level. There is a sense of pride that i feel goes into products made by, packaged by, shipped by, and delivered by Americans, It is sustainability on a different level. We as Americans can bring big business back home by voting with our dollars. Not only keep jobs here at home, but bring more jobs back home. Love Made in the USA!!!!!!!

  28. Rona Wheeler says:

I believe in taking care of our own first. The stronger we are the better we can help others. Pride is strong and customer care is better when we build with quality. We lead by example, quality products for a fair price and providing a safe enviroment where they are made, in the USA.

  29. Bobbi Collyer says:

I love Made in the USA products because I believe that a dollar is a folding vote and I want to spend my money supporting my community, not feeding the consumer machine of oppression in places like China. I have nothing against Chinese people, I just don’t want to support systems where people are working in sweat shops and making products that often contain toxic substances (such as plasticizers).

  30. Jodi says:

I love made in USA products because I feel I can trust that the workers are protected to a higher standard for working conditions and chemical/dangerous exposure than products made in China. In this economy, we need all the local support we can get, and in a global manufacturing community, “local” means US. I feel good knowing that I’m helping to support an American family by keeping the jobs in the US.

  31. Buying Made in America products means improving our hometown economy and helping our neighbors. Whether big or small, at tw heart of the American economy is American products.

  32. American products mean American jobs and less dependence on foreign economies. They also mean higher quality products that are made with pride and with less chemicals that have been shown to be harmful to the consumer’s health. Products made in America are my child’s future. It saddens me when I hear my parents and in-laws say it has been hard for them to watch their children have less opportunities in their lifetimes than what was previous afforded to citizens in this country. I hope to see that reversed during my lifetime so my children and grandchildren can prosper in a country their ancestors sacrificed to build.

  33. Katy says:

I love Made in USA products! They are well designed and the quality is superb. Plus they support our local economy. I mean, come on, they are just the BEST.

  34. Dave says:

Made in the USA rocks, keep America working!

  35. Sara P. says:

I love Made in USA products because I believe in supporting local economies and not making products travel all around the world (so bad for the environment!!)

  36. Rita says:

I purchase Made in America products because I believe it is important to support our own economy. Also, by purchasing USA products I’m assured that they were created in a factory that adheres to the labor laws and environmental protection statutes of our country, which are stricter than those of most nations that host industrial manufacturing.

  37. Hayley says:

I love Made in the USA products because as consumer you know that the quality is of a higher standard, and they help keep America strong! :)

  38. Georgia says:

I purchase made in the USA products because manufacturing in the US means more jobs here and less money spent on transportation. USA made gardening products also support home grown food and that’s good for you! Keep making great food growing products!

  39. GreenUp! Guy says:

I look for “Made In The USA label” so that I can support my Country’s economy. I vote with my wallet to benefit my community and businesses that make the effort to manufacturer in the USA. The Worm Factory 360 is a great product that I recommend to everyone.

  40. Frances Lash says:

I love American made products! They last a long time. The best tools and products we own are made in America. I hate cheaply made foreign goods and we have made a commitment to no longer purchase them. We figure we can save the landfill space by paying a little extra for something made domestically. Recently we did a survey of things that we have and we realized that the American made items were not only the oldest, but in the best shape. There is a certain feeling of pride that wells up in my chest when I purchase an American made product.

  41. Kaye says:

I can feel comfortable that the product wasn’t made in a sweatshop. And usually it didn’t have to travel half way across the world to get to me!

  42. Nell Foster says:

I saw you on FB #gardenchat! We design a line of stylish & sturdy accessories for the savvy woman gardener. We source 90% of the materials used from the USA & our manufacturing is all done in California just 35 minutes south of our base – now that’s reducing the carbon footprint. I was adamant about having our products made in the USA & specifically look for other products to buy also made in the USA. Let’s support this country we live in!

  43. Bren says:

I love made in the USA products because they employee hard working Americans! I love to support my country. The worm factory looks really cool…..

Off to tweet about this giveaway and hope to motivate others to support our great country!
